This hands on session will provide you with information about how to implement Team Based Learning (TBL) into your classroom. TBL incorporates components of both flipped learning (students prepare ahead) and problem based learning (students investigate and solve a specific problem/ question/ real life scenario). The interactive engagement techniques of TBL use a high level of inquiry and team collaboration. This level of student engagement develops students' pursuit of learning, teamwork, accountability, and leadership by hitting upon all 5 WICOR strategies. Both students and teachers have reported a high level of learning and enjoyment in courses that implement these techniques.
